Replacing the Manual 6 speed transmission fluid in my CST-V



Transmission Fluid. Need 4 quarts




Fluid pump




Extra clear line for pump




My car on the wheel ramps




I use rubber sanding blocks on my jack stands

Lift the car




Car needs to be level to accurately
determine the "full" level of the transmission fluid.




RTV for Fill and Drain plug

Always remove the FILL plug first.
No socket needed. Just put your socket wrench on it to remove.

Prepare your drip pan
Remove the DRAIN plug




The fluid comes out very fast. Be more prepared than I was. LOL




Allow to drain fully.




Clean the old RTV from the threads as best you can.




Re-install the DRAIN plug and set to 20 ft/lbs torque




Prepare your 6 speed manual transmission fluid




You will need approximately 3.5-3.75 quarts




Pump the fluid in and once the fluid starts to drip
out of the FILL hole then the transmission is FULL
Re-install the FILL plug (with RTV) and set to 20 ft/lbs torque.




Cleck for leaks before and after first test drive
